Refinishing A Finished Basement In Ashville, NY

Challenge

Homeowners in Ashville, NY contacted us as TBF of WNY for help refinshing their finished basement. It had been finished a few decades before they bought the house, and it didn't suit their current lifestyle. There were old drop ceilings, a "summer kitchen", yellow walls, and no designated storage space. The homeowners wanted a basement that they could relax in and store winter sports equipment, not one that they could make pickles and jellies in.

Solution

TBF of WNY was ready to help these homeowners out. Our Design Specialist Paul met with the homeowners and helped them totally redesign their basement. The kitchen was out and was taken down to a minimum level so they could still have the sink but didn't have all of the counters and kitchen items in the basement anymore.

The homeowners really wanted a finished ceiling look, so they opted to have the old drop ceiling taken out and a new one installed. The uniform color made a huge difference in the look of the finished basment. And our EverLast Wall Systems created seperate areas for storage, winter sports equipment storage, a rec room, an extra room, and a utility area. Smart design saved this basement and brought it into the 21st century.
