A couple in Machias, NY had built a bedroom in their basement in 2019. They needed to install an egress window to keep the basement up to New York State building code. Their house was on a small incline, and egress windows involve changes to the foundation of a home so the couple could not do this work on their own.
Solution
Egress windows have always been something that TBF of WNY regularly installs. Our Design Specialist met with the couple, and helped them choose a rockwell style egress window, which is a stylish choice that also lets a lot of light into a basement. We got the necessary permits; and even with the small incline the egress window installation took less than a week to finish.
