Western New York is full of homes that could rightly be called historic. We have so many homes from the 1800's and on that it is hard to keep track of them, and many a beautiful Victorian houses. And many of those homes have truely historic basements that could use some updating to bring them to a level of comfort and safety that many people expect in their homes.
Recently TBF of WNY fully refinished a basement in a home in in Batavia, NY that was originally built in 1890. Though there had been renovations made to most of the house in the 1940's, the basement was still in its original condition from the 1890s. It was beautiful, but didn't work with the homeowners' current needs. We refinished the walls with our EverLast Wall Systems, installed our Thermal Dry Flooring which made the floors both easier to clean and more attractive, and installed a SaniDry XP Air System. The SaniDry XP Air system is a fantastic item to have in any home as it decreases the humidity in the basement which increases the air quality in the whole home.
Check out this photo taken after the ceiling was painted and the floors were installed but the walls were not refinished with our EverLast Wall Systems to see what a difference these products really make.
